Media Food was founded in 1998, as of 2013 has been affiliated to Media Star Bazaar Co. with the aim of exportation of agricultural products, and particularly production, supply, packaging and exportation of Raisins, Pistachios, Pistachio Kernel, Dates, Saffron, Dried Figs and some types of aqua-cultural products.

Malayer Seedless raisin is the same Sultana raisin, a name that refers to Malayer city. The Sultana raisin was traditionally imported to the English-speaking world from the Ottoman Empire. Iran is the second major producer of Sultana raisins. Grape and grape- based Production System in Malayer has a long history. This system has provided a better life situation for local people, a distinct opportunity for tourists, and a unique platform to boost rural economy. Farm management practices are of traditional type and grape processing is done using traditional methods and tools. Production process, history, higher yield per hectare, skill of gardeners in producing grape products, and sugar level of Malayer grapes in comparison with grape of other parts of Iran, are the factors that make grapes and raisins of Malayer different from other parts of the world. These are the reason why consumers prefer Malayer raisins.
